A major storm hit the Pacific NorthWet late Thursday, and we have been without power ever since. Five long nights and five even longer days. It is so cold in our house that DH is allowing the dogs to come upstairs where we are all huddling by the heat of the gas fireplace in the evenings.
When you are without power, and heat, and decent light, you get a kick out of the strangest things. Last night it was the Dance of the Pillow, whereby the lab licked and rolled on my eldest son until he curled up in a fit of dog slobber, and the lab gained control of the pillow. DS slept hidden in his sleeping bag.
I am blogging from the Tully's at the bottom of the hill, which finally has power today. Maybe we will be next?
Please send warm, electric thoughts our way.

Here's hoping that you already have your power back on or as soon as possible. Stay warm and safe!
Oh Jen,
I was worried about you since you hadn't postd in so long. I hope you guys get power soon!
Oh man! Losing power is terrible. It's fun for about 2 hours while you pretend like you're from Little House on the Prairie, but after that, the worst! I hope you're back juiced up soon.
Oh Jen, I am thinking of you! I hope the power comes back soon. Thank goodness for the gas fireplace, warm woolens and two dog bodies to create extra heat in the room...I hope your family makes it through this indoor cold snap safely and with lots of stories to laugh about later.
I hope that the power comes on soon! My lab loves to steal my pillow too, silly mutt!
Adding my safe and warm wishes to the fire.
sending all electricity your way!!!
You are so lucky to have your family there with you!
